3rd Annual ATV Christmas Run - A Huge Success.
What an amazing turn out at the 3rd Annual ATV Christmas run to Avondale held on Saturday, December 9th. Riders met at the Seal Cove staging area and headed to the train station in Avondale where they were greeted by Santa & Ms. Claus and all their little helpers. This event was our biggest yet, with over 100 machines and over 200 adult, children, and furry friends in attendance – WOW!
It was obvious that the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Avondale train station worked extra hard preparing for this event and I have been told by many they serve the tastiest moose soup around. You guys are truly amazing.
There was no registration fee for this event, but anyone who attended was asked to bring a toy or food donation. The 1st Topsail Rovers volunteered their time collecting and disturbing the food donations to the Little Free Pantries you see throughout Conception Bay South. All the toys collected and $380 from a 50/50 was donated to the 10th Riley Mercer Toy Drive held at the Salvation Army Church the next day.
We want to take the time to thank all the wonderful companies who donated prizes for this event: Driven Power Sports, Pardy’s Waste Management, Jillian Whittle Real Estate, Rhonda Nugent Cooperators, Jim’s Carpentry, Atlantic Recreation Yamaha, Napa Auto Parts, NL First Aid, Hickey’s Timber Mart, Avalon ATV and the Town of Conception Bay South. We truly appreciate your support with our community event.
Once again, this event was perfect, and it was easy to tell by all the smiling faces on the adults and children who attended. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!

Special DRIVEN thanks to all that attended and to Krista Webber for putting this piece together.
